When Love Bleed

When Love Bleed

In the heartbeat of Lagos, where hustle meets heartache, When Love Bleeds tells the raw, unfiltered story of Mike a broke but brilliant developer with big dreams and Danika, a resilient hairstylist caught between love, obligation, and spiritual warning. When a chance meeting by a pool sparks an unexpected connection, the two begin building a fragile romance, pieced together by shared ambition, late-night talks, and small acts of sacrifice. But love in a city like Lagos costs more than words. As financial pressures rise and Danika’s family moves in, Mike finds himself torn between being her hero and losing himself. Then come the signs. An oracle’s cryptic warnings. Nightmares Danika can’t shake. A pregnancy filled with complications. And a loss that breaks them both. As Danika drifts into silence, Mike spirals battling depression, betrayal, and the ghosts of a love he can’t let go. Years pass. Cities change. But some wounds don't heal with distance. When fate brings Mike back to Danika’s hospital bedside, with a child that may not be his but a love that never truly left the two must confront everything they buried. The pain. The sacrifice. The bleeding heart that still beats for each other. Will they choose healing over escape? Redemption over regret? Or has too much already been lost? When Love Bleeds is an emotionally rich, spiritually charged urban love story that explores the quiet heroism of staying, the weight of cultural expectations, and what it truly costs to build a future together when the world and even the spirits seem against you.

Bleed To The Very End - [A Grimdark Progression Fantasy]

Bleed To The Very End - [A Grimdark Progression Fantasy]

Osias wanted nothing more than to… live. Was such a wish too audacious to desire? Were the blood-born destined to live such tragic tales? Why, why did it feel as though he was forced to either bleed himself or spill the blood of others to live? Enough… he had enough. A pair of blood-born brothers were all that was left from the fallen Band of the Red Sky. Detestable blood-borns, vile spawn who were to be eradicated off the face of the Wailing Chain. So the Three Factions put aside their feuds in order to slaughter them all. Yet Osias and Kiran still live despite this — they still move forward to escape, fight, and survive as they are pursued. Alone, these two ghosts of a dreadful Band of blood born that flooded the south in blood will bide their time as they carry on the Path of Blood, inheriting all that was entrusted to them. The Wailing Chain was theirs for the taking. The Three Factions will suffer for what they’ve done to them. Armies will spill enough blood to raise a sea in the wake of the brothers' resentment. But not yet. The world wouldn’t bleed until Osias and Kiran obtained the strength required to do so. ----------------- What to expect: • Blood Powers • Dark Fantasy-esque • Wars, Armies, Power Progression • No System • Cruel, Grim World (First Chapter is enough…) • Smidges of romance • Anti-Hero Prog (Spoiler - nears villain) *The world of BTTVE has A LOT of secrets and plans that are not made available to the reader upfront. Try to enjoy the path to the answers - there's going to be a lot that you don't understand at first because there's a lot Osias doesn't know about the new world he's in! Also sorry for the POV changes in the first few chapters… the setting calls for it, there isn’t much to the beginning if we read it entirely from a cripple’s perspective.

How is 'bleed' achieved in graphic novels?
Well, achieving bleed in graphic novels is a multi - step process. The artist starts by creating the art with the intention of having elements bleed. They might use a larger canvas size in their drawing software. Then, when it comes to printing, the printer has to be set up to handle the bleed. The paper is usually printed on a larger sheet than the final page size. After that, the printed sheets are trimmed precisely so that the part of the image that was extended beyond the normal page area is now at the edge of the final page. This gives the appearance of the image bleeding off the page.

How can 'bleed in graphic novel' enhance the storytelling?
Bleed in a graphic novel can enhance storytelling in multiple ways. Firstly, it can make the world of the story seem larger. If a landscape bleeds, it gives the impression that the world extends beyond what we can see on the page. Secondly, it can be used for emphasis. A bleeding panel with a key object or character draws the reader's attention more effectively. Also, it can add a sense of chaos or energy. For instance, in a fight scene, bleeding panels can make the action feel more intense and unconstrained, thus enriching the overall narrative.
