Reincarnated in Avatar: The Legend of Korralegend of Riko
After an accidental death caused by a rupture in space, a human soul awakens in a black void, completely isolated from time, light, and life. With no way to know how long he has been there, he remains trapped until fear, panic, and loneliness become nothing more than distant memories buried beneath endless boredom.
Eventually, a god and an angel find him and offer him the chance to reincarnate into another world. When he learns that he will be sent to the universe of Avatar, he chooses the era of Korra, drawn to its more modern world, advanced technology, and conflicts between humans, benders, and spirits.
The god warns him that the ability to bend depends on the strength of his soul. An ordinary soul can usually withstand only one element at most. However, after the boy departs, the god discovers the shocking truth: his soul was not trapped in the void for only a few days, but for millions of years. Because of that impossible amount of time, his soul has become a vast existence, close to the level of the primordial spirits Raava and Vaatu.
Reincarnated as Riko, a child with white hair and blue eyes, he is born into a poor and troubled family, where his parents look at him with suspicion because of his unusual appearance. From the very beginning, Riko understands that his new life will not be an easy one.
While sleeping, his soul is accidentally drawn into the Spirit World, where he discovers that his spiritual form is not human. Instead, he appears as a living black shadow with glowing blue eyes. To his surprise, the spirits are not afraid of him. On the contrary, they see him as a great and ancient spirit, one whose calm aura brings them peace.
After learning that Avatar Korra has not yet been born, Riko realizes that he has arrived years before the events he remembers. Returned to his infant body, he begins to grow in a difficult world full of danger, mystery, and possibility.
At only a few months old, Riko discovers the truth: he can sense and move all four elements — air, water, earth, and fire. His control is still weak, limited by the fragile body of a child, but the potential is real.
Born before Avatar Korra, carrying a soul shaped by millions of years in the void and capable of touching every element, Riko becomes an anomaly between the physical world and the Spirit World. He is not the Avatar, but he is no ordinary human either.
He is something new.
And when Raava, Vaatu, the spirits, and humanity begin to sense his existence, the balance of the world will never be the same again.
