Fortunately, he acquired a superpower called the Midnight Investigation Room. At midnight every day, he could conduct an investigation on a chosen target. During his investigation, not only could he hear the actual thoughts running through the head of his subject, he could also acquire different items based on the value of the information he collected. Some of the items he acquired included: a mushroom that could sustain its host’s beauty forever; a credit card that allowed its users to loan from the future unlimitedly; a loyal assassin troop that lurked in the shadow; a demon eye that allowed its user to pry into the other world; a kobold that could learn and train with double efficiency on behalf of its master; seeds that could be attached to enemies’ bodies to make them puppets; and tapes that could transform human bodies into rocks when applied. In order to resolve his crisis, he collected information and investigated the case while improving his ability and expanding his influence. Unfortunately, he uncovered an even bigger scheme after solving his case. This entire world turned out to be a scheme! Many years later, Fang Ze sat on the throne of the King of Darkness. I’m an international, multiple award-winning author with a passion for the voices in my head. As a singer, songwriter, independent filmmaker and improv teacher and performer, my life has always been about creating and sharing what I create with others. Now that my dream to write for a living is a reality, with over a hundred titles in happy publication and no end in sight, I live in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada, with my giant cats, pug overlord and overlady and my Gypsy Vanner gelding, Fynn. ***WORLD'S BEST STORY2014*** Her mom's a witch. Her dad's a demon. And she just wants to be ordinary. I batted at the curl of smoke drifting off the tip of my candle and tried not to sneeze. My heavy velvet cloak fell in oppressive, suffocating folds in the closed space of the ceremony chamber, the cowl trapping the annoying bits of puff I missed. I hated the way my eyes burned and teared, an almost constant distraction. Not that I didn't welcome the distraction, to be honest. Anything to take my mind from what went on around me. Being part of a demon raising is way less exciting than it sounds. Sydlynn Hayle's teen life couldn't be more complicated. Trying to please her coven is all a fantasy while the adventure of starting over in a new town and fending off a bully cheerleader who hates her are just the beginning of her troubles. What to do when delicious football hero Brad Peters--boyfriend of her cheer nemesis--shows interest? If only the darkly yummy witch, Quaid Moromond, didn't make it so difficult for her to focus on fitting in with the normal kids despite her paranormal, witchcraft laced home life. Add to that her crazy grandmother's constant escapes driving her family to the brink and Syd's between a rock and a coven site. Forced to take on power she doesn't want to protect a coven who blames her for everything, only she can save her family's magic. If her family's distrust doesn't destroy her first.

What are the characteristics of classic 1st person novels?
In classic 1st person novels, the narrator's reliability can be an interesting aspect. In 'Heart of Darkness', Marlow's first - person account may be questioned in terms of how accurate his view of the African continent and the 'savagery' he perceives really is. There's also the ability to create mystery. In 'Rebecca', the new Mrs. de Winter's first - person narration keeps the mystery of Rebecca alive. Moreover, the use of first - person can make the story more emotional. In 'A Tale of Two Cities', Sydney Carton's internal monologues (a form of first - person) are deeply emotional and add a great deal to the overall tone of the novel.

21st century classic novels are also very much in tune with the current social and political issues. Novels like 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood, though written in the 1980s, has gained new relevance in the 21st century as it explores themes of female oppression and theocratic rule, which are topics that are still being debated and fought against today.

What are the Best 1st Person Police Novels for Beginners?
I'd suggest 'The Black Echo' by Michael Connelly. The first - person view of Detective Hieronymus Bosch is easy to follow and it's a great introduction to police procedurals. It shows how he pieces together evidence and deals with the bureaucracy of the police department. Also, 'In the Woods' is good. The detective's first - person story as he tries to solve a mystery that has personal ties to him is both intriguing and accessible.
