Ronx gets taken out of his normal life and is forced to join the dangerous organization called "Undead Crow", Which is an organization that eliminates criminals with powerful abilities. The story is taken place in the Victorian era but still has modern stuff like guns or coffee shops.

The most dangerous individuals are those who only view the world in black and white. For example, an individual who steals will be labeled as wrong and evil without a second thought, and a hero who fights to protect will be labeled as right and just. However, if said individual who steals does so to survive, is he/she not right in wanting to live, and if a hero fights to protect and kills, does that not make him/her a killer. Marcus treads a fine line that leaves him asking himself these questions almost too often. In a mystical world known as Terra, home to humans, elves, dwarves, demons and so many more creatures, he’s often overwhelmed by his own emotions and the many dangers that live within Terra. Being a son of two war heroes afforded him some reprieve but this did not last long due to…’unfortunate circumstances’… As such Marcus finds himself alone in a world that cares little for his background and would much rather see him crushed and destroyed. Will he be able to overcome the cold and callousness of the world as his parents did or will he be crushed beneath its foot before ever gaining a chance to fight. A certain god may be able to offer his assistance…. for a price of course.

This isn’t a story of a noble knight or a savior. This is the tale of a cynical knight in the hack-and-slash game world with the maximum difficulty setting. No system to help him. No status panel to notify his progress. No HUD to give him hints. However, one hope remains. The knight “Crow” retains an in-game ability. By shattering objects or defeating enemy leaders, he can summon random game items as if the world itself is still a game. With a pet crow "Cow-Cow" by his side, the Crow Knight trudges through this treacherous land, armed with sarcasm, stubbornness, and a knack for minding his own business until fate decides otherwise. Also, please do not speak in caps. He hates it. Oh, did I forget to mention that his pet crow has three legs? What? It isn't important? Never mind, then.

For all of 15-year-old Crow's life, he's been at the mercy of an extremely cruel world. Abandoned by his birth parents and eventually his foster parents, Crow has strived to live a "semi-normal" life. After running away from his foster parents at the tender age of 12, Crow spends the next three years learning how to survive on his own. On one fateful night, while trying to get some food from the meat market, Crow is chased down by the cops and narrowly escapes. While looking at his haul on top of a construction site, the structure below him gives and Crow dies. However, he soon awakens in a cave with strange clothing on, a triangle-shaped tattoo on his right arm, and a hazy memory. As he walks down the cave he finds three other kids around his age with the same clothing on and the same tattoo. “We need to find some answers! There are way too many coincidences, our tattoos, our clothes, the fact that all of us were sleeping in this cave. I think I see a little bit of light ahead of us. Jimmy died on his way to work. One moment he was riding his bicycle through the city. The next, he had a broken neck, a crow's beak in his eye, and quickly after, he embraced an eternal slumber. His slumber was not eternal after all. Jimmy woke up trapped inside an egg. Confused, blind, and several IQ points poorer than usual, he soon discovered that he had been reborn as a crow. As if that wasn't strange enough, a system found him shortly after. The Crow Evolution System. Promising limitless evolutionary paths, and enough tasks to make him question whether he had really escaped his old job, the system offered him a chance to become something greater. A crow could evolve into countless things. Faster, stronger, larger, and even stranger creatures, like the Cockatrice, or the common Basilisk, for example. The possibilities seemed endless, stunning! However, Jimmy only cared about one thing; The Assassin Crow. A predator of the skies. A creature of stealth, speed, and precision. The sort of bird that could drop from the blue skies and leave nothing behind except a torn up carcass. Reaching that point of evolutionary superiority, however, was not easy. First, he had to survive being a hatchling. Then he had to survive the ordinary monsters. A hassle for a bird his size. After that came the mages, bearing elemental magic or otherwise. The legendary beasts, as their name suggested, have eaten heroes for breakfast. Assassin Crows didn't even come into the equation, and yet he had to face them sooner or later. To make matters worse, the world itself was far stranger than Jimmy initially realized. Crows carried weapons through the skies, hinting that he wasn't the only bird practicing to be an assassin. Creatures far larger than common beasts roamed beyond the safety of civilization, each of them different, and more dangerous than the other, even if they weren't legendary beasts per-se. With that said, evolution was not merely a privilege, it was a necessity, and he was late to the race. If he was to become a somebody, he had to put some work in to catch up. One day, Jimmy might stand at the peak of evolution. Or, he could die. The future was inherently unpredictable. First things first, however, he had to stop taking naps every five minutes. That part turned out to be more difficult than he anticipated.

Kristen was always alone in her life on earth, due to the fact that she was born into the mafia which took the majority of her freedom away, but also because of how unapproachable she seemed.
