THE DIVINE DESCENT: Slayer of the Myths

THE DIVINE DESCENT: Slayer of the Myths

The mysterious unknown. Chaos spreads throughout the divine realm. Fates of all lives, mortals and transcendents alike are dragged into a great turmoil. Affected by the chaos, the world starts to change. Our MC finds himself in an unknown place filled with hardships. What would he do? Follow Sid in his adventures as his shitty luck takes him to places. Don't expect much from him though, as he cannot be farther from a heroic protagonist who could uncover the mystery of the world. Just think of him as another poor soul dragged down the winding path by strange luck. Right, there are system and game elements in the story, for those who wanted to know, but it's quite late in the game. (Read about 15 chapters before deciding I it's worth you read. spam the comments if you dont like it, no sweat.) A/N: The story uncovers according to mc's knowledge, so prepared to be surprised at any turn. Another thing, this story does not follow, or claim to follow mythology to a T. Hell, I am just a noob at mythology myself. Just think of it as another entertainment that borrows from mythology. If that's not your cup of tea then, please kindly refrain from reading. Finally, let me know in the comments if you find anything dissatisfactory. WARNING: There will be use of strong language (just some expletives) at some parts, expect it to slow down as the mc develops. Though it may take a while, looking at how our mc is. At, any rate just enjoy it as a fun read. Here's the link to my discord: https://discord.com/invite/jD3a96k7pJ

Recommendations for YA fiction books with Greek myths?
Definitely check out 'The Song of Achilles' by Madeline Miller. It tells the story of Achilles and Patroclus in a very poignant and beautifully written way. It gives a new perspective on their relationship and the events of the Trojan War as told in Greek mythology.

What are some common myths about fiction books?
A common myth is that fiction books are a waste of time. This is far from true. Reading fiction can improve vocabulary, language skills, and even critical thinking. Fiction often presents complex characters and situations that require readers to analyze and think deeply. Another myth is that only certain 'types' of people enjoy fiction. In reality, people from all walks of life can find value and pleasure in fiction. And some believe that modern fiction is not as good as the classics. But there are many excellent modern fiction works that are just as engaging and thought - provoking as the classics.

Can you debunk some myths about fiction books?
Sure. One myth is that fiction books are only for escapism. While they can be an escape, they also offer a lot more. They can make us think about different cultures, values, and ways of life. For example, reading books from different countries' authors can expand our global perspective. Another myth is that fiction is not as 'true' as non - fiction. But the emotions, relationships, and human experiences depicted in fiction are very real. And a third myth is that reading fiction is a solitary activity. In fact, many people form book clubs or discuss fiction books with friends, making it a social experience.

Are Greek Myths Fiction or Non - fiction?
Fiction. Greek myths are full of gods, goddesses, and supernatural beings doing extraordinary things that don't have a basis in historical fact. For example, Zeus throwing thunderbolts from the sky. It's a collection of stories passed down through generations to explain natural phenomena, cultural values, and human nature in a very creative and imaginative way, rather than reporting actual events.
