When O̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ love drives actions. (Re:zero x Madoka Magica)
Homura Akemi was happy for Madoka. And she was happy for herself. Madoka was still alive (did it really count?) and doing what she loved most—helping as many people as she could.
So why? Why did Homura feel so empty ever since that day, when Madoka was erased from everyone's memories except her own? When Madoka handed her the red ribbon before parting ways?
She had done it, right? She wasn't going to die, and she wasn't going to turn into a witch. Homura should be happy. Madoka was, after all.
But she wasn't. She still longed for Madoka—for her words, her presence, just to have her nearby again. But she knew that would never happen. The next best thing was to carry her spirit forward, to spread the kindness Madoka once gave so freely.
Then it happened.
Barely a week had passed since it all ended, since she had finally been freed from the cage of time and the duty of protecting Madoka. Without warning, she was teleported. To a world not unlike what is seen in fantasy media.
Homura didn’t panic. Instead, she saw an opportunity.
A new world. New people. A chance to share the ideals of the girl she loved. A chance to bring Madoka’s kindness to those who needed it.
Because that’s what love is, isn’t it?

Madoka Magica and Re:Zero, two pieces of media that changed my life. I’m grateful they exist.
I hope I do it justice.
(When Homura Akemi finds herself in Lugunica, and crosses paths with one Natsuki Subaru. A star shining so bright, you can't miss it.)
