Sports Divergent: Robert's Fear Stage
The Fear-Sim Capture Stage competition runs under the Faction system's annual performance review: squads enter a scored simulation where failure is real, captures count toward faction standing, and fear-mapping — the ability to profile a target's psychological landscape and redirect it — is technically permitted but so difficult to execute under pressure that most competitors never attempt it. Robert Black enters it because fear-mapping is the only thing he is reliably better at than anyone else in his bracket. Every win traces to sim-narrative hijacking, fear-map profiling, pact-trust deployment, multi-squad board-reading, factionless recruitment, or ruleset exploitation; combat dominance is not on the list.
