Everything was going in the same route as it always did. Avery was having a normal day at school when her teacher suddenly collapsed, and so did many other people in the school. They were evacuated outside and sent home. When she walked inside her house, she found her mother collapsed on the floor. She hurriedly checked on her and found that her pulse wasn't beating. Crying, she went to check on her father and found him in the lounge with the Tv on. He too wasn't breathing. The news read: Mysterious virus causing all adults to collapse and die. The reporter on the screen was also laying in her seat looking dead. Avery ran out of the house to her neighbors where her best friend, Melanie, lived. Her parents were also on the floor. Avery and Melanie came up with some sort of plan the next morning. They rounded up all the kids in their town into one place and did their best to calm everyone down. They proceeded to rally others and continued all on their own, 'cause no adult was left and they were all on their own. Let's see how this story progresses. Will there ever be a happy ending? Or will they lose themselves and this world would end?

Se recibieron 151 relatos a nivel nacional, y se contó con un comité lector integrado por 80 voluntarios designados por Machucabotons Escuela de Escritura, para la lectura y preelección.
