Marvel: Ten Thousand Punches — The Day the Sky Broke
Hawke counts punches, not likes. For nearly a thousand days he has driven his wrapped fists into a dead sandbag at Midtown High—ten thousand strikes, every single day—chasing an invisible progress bar he calls Cosmo Training. On Friday, June 15, 2012, the sky over Queens splits open and the city turns from detention to battleground. Peter Parker is trying to stay out of trouble; Flash Thompson is scouting an audience; Hawke just wants to finish the set. Then the first Chitauri skimmer rattles the rooftop. Routine ends. With no HUD, no mentor, and no room to hide, Hawke learns whether discipline can hit back when the world breaks. Ten thousand punches were the plan. Tonight every one of them has a job.
