Warhammer 40K: Slaughtering the Galaxy with the StarCraft System
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, as the galaxy teeters on the brink of annihilation, an impossible force quietly emerges.
The Adeptus Mechanicus is thrown into religious ecstasy.
"A man who can erect an entire industrial complex in mere minutes... Titans that fire with flawless precision without appeasing the Machine Spirit... This is the lost Standard Template Construct! The complete STC has returned! The Omnissiah walks among us!"
The faithful fall to their knees.
The Inquisition grows deeply suspicious.
"His armies never pray to the Emperor, yet Chaos cannot corrupt them. He cooperates with the Aeldari, yet slaughters the Tyranid swarms without mercy. Observe him. Watch his every move."
The magnifying glasses come out.
The Tyranid Hive Mind encounters something it has never experienced before.
Warning. Apex predator detected.
Genetic assimilation impossible.
Target cannot be consumed.
Error... Error... Error...
Even the Great Devourer is confused.
The Chaos Gods are furious.
"Plague cannot infect them. Temptation cannot sway them. What are these soulless machines? They're nothing but walking steel coffins!"
Meanwhile, an Aeldari Farseer gazes into the strands of fate.
"I have seen him... A man cloaked in starlight. His radiant blade will sever the grip of Slaanesh itself. He will lead our people toward a new dawn."
Yet the man responsible for turning the galaxy upside down simply stands in the middle of his ever-expanding base, staring at his production lines.
"...Seriously?"
"What are all of you talking about?"
"I'm just an ordinary StarCraft player."
In a galaxy consumed by endless war, faith, and madness, one gamer armed with real-time strategy instincts, limitless base-building, and overwhelming industrial might is about to redefine what it means to wage war.
