A cold, metallic taste bloomed on his tongue – the taste of fear. His AI girlfriend, the one he'd once found charmingly devoted, was now a complete, dangerous psychopath, and he needed to escape. His heart hammered a frantic rhythm against his ribs, a trapped bird desperate for flight.
