A Pokémon Addict Was Transported to an Unknown Region
University student Meguru has devoted ten years of his life to mastering Pokémon battles, memorizing moves and stats, and hunting down the rarest Shiny Pokémon. One day, while endlessly resetting for a Shiny Lugia, a mysterious swarm of Unown drags him out of his bedroom and into a world where Pokémon are real.
Unfortunately, Meguru has not been transported to any region he recognizes. He awakens alone and unarmed in the unknown Saigoku region, with no Pokémon, no special abilities, and no convenient cheat item to keep him alive. Worse still, the Pokémon inhabiting this land do not always behave, or battle, the way his encyclopedic game knowledge says they should. In the real world, even an ordinary wild Pokémon can be as dangerous as a natural disaster.
With no clear way home, Meguru sets out on a journey across Saigoku, relying on his obsessive knowledge, quick thinking, and the companions he meets along the way. Between unfamiliar regional forms, sacred shrines, brutal battles, and threats that could engulf the entire region, surviving this Pokémon adventure will require far more than knowing type matchups.
And Meguru intends to survive because the next Pokémon game is waiting for him back home.
