The Severed Mandate
In a fragmented nation torn apart by political strife, the world spirals into chaos after the escape of a sealed ancient entity—an embodiment of evil that once threatened to consume all existence. The Government and the Rebellion, long-time enemies locked in civil war, are forced into an uneasy alliance as this malevolent force wages war on all creation, even overpowering the twin gods of Light and Darkness.
In a final stand, humanity fails to overcome the darkness. As hope fades, a dying youth is granted a miracle—an audience with the Nameless One, an omnipotent being beyond the grasp of gods. Gifted with ultimate power, the boy rises and vanquishes the ancient evil, only to awaken his own dark persona, born from grief, rage, and countless deaths.
With a single motion, he annihilates entire armies. Mankind faces extinction yet again—this time from their own savior. But just before all is lost, humanity unites to cast out his corrupted self. In the aftermath, the Nameless One reappears, wiping away the remnants of chaos: the ancient energy, the monstrous beings, and even the memories of the bloodshed.
All except one memory—faint and elusive—lingers in the mind of the boy who once bore the weight of the world.
As life returns to normal, a strange beast appears before him, vanishes, and leaves behind only questions.
When even gods fall to evil, how will humanity survive? By uniting as one—or destroying itself from within?
