He sends scholars, scouts, and — when the moment demands it — an embassy, testing the temperature of these new waters exactly as Corwin, his loremaster, advises: slowly, and with a blade sheathed but not far from hand. What follows is the uneasy, halting dance of two civilizations that have never needed each other's permission to exist — a Westerosi court built on dragons, blood, and inheritance meeting an Atlantean crown built on trident-law, tide-magic, and a king who has spent his whole life being underestimated.
