Ziggy Ziegler
Ziggy Ziegler is 23 years old, and by every metric that matters to the organization that trained him, he's their best asset — fast, precise, unreadable under pressure. By every metric that matters to him, he's just a guy trying to keep his little sister in college without her ever finding out how the tuition gets paid.
He jokes through debriefs. He argues with his handler about payment terms like it's a food delivery app. He's never lost a target.
Until a routine contract puts him face to face with a woman who knows something she shouldn't — a name from the night his parents died, a night he was told was random, was never supposed to be personal. She's supposed to be his next kill. Instead, she becomes the first loose thread in a decade of carefully controlled distance.
As Ziggy starts pulling that thread, the organization starts noticing the change in him — the hesitation, the missed windows, the calls he's stopped returning on schedule. And the people who raised him to have no weaknesses start looking, very carefully, at the one person he's spent his whole career hiding.
His sister.
This is a story about a guy who got good at killing so someone he loved could stay ordinary — and what happens when the two halves of his life finally collide.
