THE STORY
Yukimiya Kobayashi, a sixteen-year-old girl with rare humility and touching naiveté, enrolls at The Trinity User, the most prestigious academy in the Republic of Sven. She expects fabulous encounters and a peaceful student life.
Upon her arrival, a shapeless creature—an "impurity"—massacres several students before her very eyes. The world she thought she knew collapses. Her father then reveals her true heritage: her family are among the "Chernobyl Users," beings endowed with powers linked to their nervous system.
Yukimiya must choose: flee to return to her former life, or stay and learn to control a power she doesn't understand. She decides to stay.
Because Sven is not like other countries. Behind its facade of prosperity, underground political conflicts pit the Ciward council against the political council. Urban legends tell the stories of former Ciwards who died under strange circumstances. And a mysterious figure, the "Writer," seems to be manipulating events from the shadows.
Very quickly, Yukimiya discovers that the danger doesn't just come from the impurities. It also comes from her own allies. From her own memories. From herself.
