Eons ago, in a time very distant from memory, there was an age of great fighters known as the Jo-lan. He had mastered the Jo-lan arts to such a degree that legend refers to him as the Jo-lan-ryu. This was mainly because he had the power to transform into a double-headed black dragon known by all as Souryu. Due to this people started referring to him as Kuroi Ryuu. Unfortunately, even his evil outmatched his power. Innovain fought against the other Jo-lan fighters and brought them to the brink of extinction. The whole world lived in fear of him. However, there were a few brave warriors who challenged Innovain in the hopes of creating a bright future for the next generation. RING AND HAIRPIN One-line hook: He came back from death not to fall in love — but to stop the ninth bell toll that killed them both. Genre: Rebirth / Cultivation / Jewelry & Music System / Slow-burn Romance / High Fantasy Synopsis: Shen Yelan died at the Ninth Toll, holding her as the Tai Chu Bell shattered the sky. He wakes up at sixteen, on his first night at Heavenly Lan Academy — with two lifetimes of memory and two natal treasures no one knows about: a black jade thumb ring that fires invisible arrows, and the Tai Chu Guqin sealed in his soul. The Bell is waking early. Three years early. To stop it, he must ally with Gu Qingshuang — the Academy’s coldest genius, heir to the Ice Phoenix. Her white jade buyao can freeze time itself. One step, frost. One chime, fire. And Jin Chao, the rich kid with a shield bracelet who was supposed to be a rival, ends up becoming their wall. The enemy is Si Mingyuan, bearer of the Tai Chu Bell — an ancient god-weapon split into nine fragments. Each time a piece returns, the Bell tolls. One toll, one calamity. They steal the first fragment. They lose it at the Fourth Toll — their treasures shatter. They reforge in a desert glass furnace — ring, buyao, and guqin reborn stronger. They steal two fragments back at the Sixth Toll. At the Seventh, Shen Yelan plays the seventh string alone and cracks the Bell for the first time in a thousand years. Then comes the Eighth Toll — not as sound, but as memory. And the truth breaks them: the Bell wasn’t made to destroy the world. It was made to hold up a falling sky. Now the reborn avenger must choose: destroy the Bell, or learn to tune it? And she only asks one thing: “This time, will you still walk ahead of me?” Why you Love It: 1. Fresh System: No swords. Natal treasures are jewelry — rings shoot arrows, hairpins stop time, bracelets become shields. Instruments are soul weapons — guqin vs. bell. 2. True Dual Power Couple: He’s reborn but not OP; she’s strong from chapter one. No damsel, no nerfing. 3. Fast Pace: 8 tolls in 16 chapters. Every 2 chapters = a major battle or reversal. 4. Big Twist: It starts as revenge. Chapter 16 reveals the villain might be saving the world. 5. Romance with Stakes: He bleeds to reforge her buyao. She freezes an entire palace to buy him three seconds. Perfect for fans of: Lord of the Mysteries (artifact system), Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (music cultivation), Cradle (progression), and tragic rebirth romances. Tagline: Others are reborn with a system. He’s reborn with a guqin. Others give flowers. He gives her a frozen moment in time.
