The Unicorn's Forest

The Unicorn's Forest

My current situation for writing in RL is a bit chaotic. That means I might not update as quickly as I would like to, but I'll post at my usual pace of one part every other day and hope that my schedule will become more stable over time. Though if I'm late on updating, please be patient with me. It's likely because of the chaos in my life that's causing the delay. Vol 1: The Unicorn's Forest Charlie Rivers is a 14-year old girl who is trying to get through high school without being noticed when she finds herself hearing a voice asking for help when she is only one of two who can hear it. She agrees, despite the fact the other person is someone she doesn't like. When she meets the 'voice' that needed help, she learns that it's a unicorn, yet she's the only one who seems to be able to see the horn. Everyone else thinks it's a horse. Charlie also learns that by having agreed to help the unicorn, she'd gotten herself involved with a group of friends, including the other person who can hear the unicorn, that she hadn’t been really involved with before. Not only is it changing her normal schedule drastically, given she hadn’t hung out with anyone before, but even her personal space seems under attack at times. As she continues to help the unicorn, she funds that going back to how she was isn’t as attractive as it had once been, before she was helping the unicorn but also she wonders if she really would want to. *Minor spoiler in the synopsis for vol. 2 if you haven't read vol. 1* Vol 2: Tip of Other Worlds Charlie and her friends begin traveling to other worlds in search of the world that the griffin canyon connects to. While they do that, Charlie finds herself torn with wanting to grow her relationship with Alex and beginning the expedition through different worlds. Then as the expedition begins, she finds more than she ever expected to find on other worlds, but ever in the back of her mind is the dream she had in which Beth, her best friend, dies in. A dream she's determined to keep from happening, even if she has to sacrifice the friendship that's come to mean so much to her. *Minor spoilers in vol. 3 synopsis* Vol. 3: Acclimating to a New World Charlie leaves her friends and is taken by The Lost. Her friends continue on and encounter a family who has the same disease they had just recovered from. While helping them, they learn about how this world is that of a matriarchal society and has been since ancient times. What that means they can't say, only that it's going to be awkward. Charlie comes to after a while, feeling like her brain had been I'm a fog and that she had been in a waking dream, only to find she's naked and in a kind of cage where she learns she's been taken as a slave. While she has no idea how this happened, she's determined to find a chance to successfully get out of that situation. Mature content will be either through implications or will only extend to the edge of it. The cover art was ai generated. The Names... RIYURA SHIKO! - 名前は…リユラ・シコ!

Some people perform joy so completely that nobody notices they’re drowning until the water is already over their head—and Riyura Shiko has turned that performance into an art form. Fifteen years old, purple-haired, red bow-tied, and explosively cheerful in the specific way of someone who learned early that being cheerful was safer than being honest, Riyura arrives at Jeremy High not as a normal transfer student—but as a walking thunderclap in a school uniform. Officially, he’s there for a “fresh start” after an incident involving pudding, a ferret, and one tragically heroic trampoline. Unofficially, he’s there because wherever Riyura goes, normality quietly packs its bags and leaves. Jeremy High is no ordinary school. Founded in 1876 under impossible circumstances—three suicidal teenagers, letters from a descendant who wouldn’t exist for a century, and a foundation built as much on suffering as it is on survival—it attracts the broken, the chaotic, and the unexplainable. Riyura fits in immediately… and completely disrupts everything anyway. From shouting greetings at trees to challenging athletes to dribble pineapples, from staging lunchtime operas about dumplings to turning every hallway into a stage, he floods the school with a kind of absurd, relentless energy that feels almost supernatural on its own. But beneath the chaos is something quieter. Something fragile. Because Riyura isn’t just trying to be seen—he’s trying not to disappear. Over the next four years, what unfolds is everything. Not just the ridiculous, high-energy nonsense of flying fruit and social disasters, but corruption networks, government conspiracies, psychic abilities tied to Edo-period bloodlines, time manipulation, preserved souls, and a brother who dies… and comes back? Government agents become allies. Truths unravel. The very sanctuary that saved them reveals the cost of its existence. And still—beneath all of that—the people matter most. Yakamira, sharp and analytical, alive against all odds. Miyaka, opening her pencil case every morning as an act of quiet defiance. Subarashī, scars catching the light as he declares himself to the world. Jisatsu, holding steady, fourteen months without a crisis. Pan, baking at 4 AM not because he has to—but because he chooses to. None of them are whole. All of them are trying. And together, they form something stubborn and unbreakable: a family built not from perfection, but from the refusal to let each other drown alone. Then comes graduation. Osaka. Cherry University. Cherry blossom seasons that feel too soft for everything they’ve survived. And the slow, difficult realization that surviving and living are entirely different skills. And many more characters in the main stage at that as per-usual. Riyura Shiko isn’t just the loudest person in the room. He’s the one most afraid of silence. His absurdity isn’t there to make you laugh—it’s there to overwhelm you, to push past the limits of what “normal” even means, to prove that being alive isn’t about fitting in, but about refusing to disappear. The humor isn’t clean, or even traditionally funny—it’s chaotic, excessive, and sometimes deliberately irritating. Because this story doesn’t aim to be funny. It aims to feel. Loudly. Uncomfortably. Honestly. This is the complete story of Riyura Shiko. From a teenager hiding behind a crooked bow tie and a perfectly rehearsed smile… to someone who slowly, painfully learns what genuine laughter actually feels like. From impossible walls to open skies. It costs something. It leaves something behind. Neither cancels the other out. THE NAMES… RIYURA SHIKO! - RATED MA26+. Still here. That’s always been enough. Because this series has the worst humor you could ever wish for. >;)

Scary forest names for stories
The Shadowed Thicket. The word 'shadowed' makes one think of dark and hidden areas, and a thicket is a dense growth of bushes or small trees. It's a great name for a forest area that seems to be filled with things lurking in the shadows, waiting to jump out at the unsuspecting.

Although the later parts were expensive, the content in the front was enough to read. The author's name is Immortal Radish, and he has 3,000 followers. " Into the Game World ", a game novel written by you and me. The main character Lin Fan awakened his ability and entered the game world." Crossing the Exchange Network " was almost a million words long. This was the farming construction slow-heat flow, freely crossing between two worlds without losing intelligence. The protagonist traveled through time to become the eldest son of Lu Ji. It was less than half a year since Lu Ji's defeat and his three clans were killed. The story revolved around the punishment of Jin for losing its way. Bladewind Town was Zheng Huding's reality-based novel. During the Republic of China, the farmers of Blade Wind Town were involved in a dispute over a piece of land. The male farmer met a female student and his fate changed. The writing style was experienced, the story was good, but the update was slow. Read more exciting novels for free

One creative last name could be 'Mushroomvale'. Mushrooms are often found in forests and 'vale' gives a sense of a small valley within the forest. Another is 'Squirrelnest'. It's a fun way to imply a connection to the forest animals and their habitats. And 'Birdwing' might be a good choice as well, suggesting a connection to the flying creatures of the forest.

How can I choose the best forest names for my stories?
When choosing forest names for your stories, think about the emotions and atmosphere you want to convey. A name like 'Silent Woods' can give a sense of isolation or mystery. If you want a name that reflects a connection to nature, 'Wildheart Forest' could be good. You can also get inspiration from real - life forests and add a twist. For example, if there's a famous Redwood forest, you could name your fictional forest 'Redwood Realm' for a touch of the familiar with a touch of the magical.
