The reviews for Wild Children were divided into two, but most of them were negative. ** 1. Negative reviews ** 1. ** Plot * - ** Chaotic main line of logic **: The film lacked a clear, logical, and self-consistent main line that could run through all the emotional points from beginning to end. This made the overall story seem chaotic, and the relationship between the brothers was greatly reduced. - [The plot is not down-to-earth.] Although the film was adapted from the real story of the " Wandering Brothers," some unreasonable dramatic scenes were added. For example, the gangster gang led by Pan Binlong's character used the two brothers to make money and commit crimes, but they did not cause any intrinsic harm to them. Instead, they created a warm family atmosphere that lacked realism. The living conditions of the two brothers in the movie were very different from the original. In the original version, the two brothers were caught sleeping in the wilderness, but in the movie, they had a small home to shelter them from the wind and rain, which made the story out of touch with reality. - ** Emotional Depiction Failure **: The emotional depiction of the two brothers was not delicate and natural enough. The director seemed to have failed to grasp the way of expressing brotherhood and shot the characteristics of love. For example, some lines such as " If you can only choose one between brother and mother, who would you choose?" This kind of unreasonable question in love appeared in the movie, which was very abrupt. - ** Edited problem **: The editing was not smooth. There were many flashy actions such as frame skipping, stuck points, and shooting, but they did not hit the point, making the film's style nondescript. It did not meet the requirements of a literary film, and it also deviated from the style of a real-life film. 2. ** Actor's performance ** - [The main character's acting skills are not good.] Wang Junkai's performance in the film was criticized. Although he was dressed in a way that matched the character's image, he lacked the wildness and simplicity of a homeless orphan, and the audience could not feel the realism of the character. Moreover, he did not manage his expression well during his performance. No matter what kind of emotional scene he was in, his eyes were dull and his expression was monotonous. It was like a performance with facial paralysis. He was accused of failing in acting and was unable to support the role. Compared to the small actors, the difference was obvious. The overall performance of the actors was accused of not being able to support the role, the performance was expressionless, and the lines were not up to standard. 3. ** In terms of the concept of the movie ** - ** Beautifying suffering and disciplining women **: The film was accused of using a warm appearance to wrap up the essence of the plot and the idea. In terms of conception, there was a suspicion of beautification of suffering. Moreover, the film seemed to be disciplining women. When it described the tragic experience of the protagonist being born by his parents, it pushed more responsibility to the mother and ignored the role of the father and other family members. There was a certain deviation in the concept. ** 2. Good reviews ** - Some of the netizens who gave good reviews felt that the film was not depressing and bright, and the story was touching. However, judging from the overall evaluation, there were relatively few such good reviews. At present, the film's reputation in the public's evaluation was not good, and it was difficult to pass the Douban score. Watching " Wild Child " wasn't enough.
