A family once had a Christmas Eve where the turkey they were cooking for dinner somehow got stuck in the oven door. They had to work together to carefully free it without ruining the dinner. It was a really funny and frantic moment.
Well, sometimes the surgeons might make jokes about the instruments they are using. For example, they might say that a particular tool looks like something from a sci - fi movie. It lightens the mood in the operating room.
A dog once jumped out of a car at a gas station and ran around chasing its own tail, causing quite a commotion. The owner was chasing the dog while trying not to trip over the gas hoses. It was a really funny sight.
Think about the pacing. In a novel, you can control the pacing with your words and paragraphs. But in a graphic novel, the pacing is also affected by the layout of the panels. If your story has a slow - burn plot that builds gradually, a novel might be better. If it's a fast - paced adventure, a graphic novel could work well as the images can quickly move the story forward.
On the first day, I was so excited to use my new locker. I spun the combination lock over and over but couldn't get it open. After several minutes of struggle, a teacher came over to help. It turned out I had been using the wrong combination all along. I felt so silly, but it was a funny start to my middle school experience.
One hilarious thing is when people misjudge how quickly the prep will work. For example, someone might think they have more time before the 'urge' hits and then suddenly they're in a public place and have to find a bathroom ASAP. It's like a mad dash for the nearest loo. And then there's the whole ordeal of having to carry around extra supplies like wipes and clean underwear just in case.
There was a boy in detention who was a master of impressions. He started doing impressions of all the teachers in the school. Everyone in detention was in stitches. The teacher on duty came in and at first was a bit cross, but then the boy did an impression of him and he couldn't hold back his laughter either.
In my neighborhood, there was a kid who got head lice. His mom was so strict about getting rid of them. She made him wear a shower cap all day. He looked like he was an alien with a big, shiny head. He started doing these goofy dances with the shower cap on, pretending he was an alien disco dancer. That was really hilarious. Also, he told everyone that the lice were his 'alien friends' that his mom didn't like. His creative take on the situation made it a very funny story.
