Rise from ashes: I was forcefully sent to another world.
"We're finally here!" Elvy exhaled and burst open the door with her bare hands. The metal bent and a metallic smell overwhelmed my senses.
"What took you so long?" a voice I had never heard asked. Something was wrong, the fear wouldn't go away. There's no way Elvy can open the door.
"Ugh, it's a day off so there's no one in the building. Except for this loser here." Elvy looked at me with a sarcastic expression. I stood there in fear. People inside started to laugh, the nauseating smell and the fear made my head spin.
A slap woke me up.
A man with red hair and a scar on his cheek grabbed my collar and threw me across the room. I fell into a pool of blood beside Master Ilay, the strongest man in this world, kind and with unmatched magical power. I instantly screamed as I saw claw marks on Ilay's body and blood still gushing out.
I turned in fear, the light was dim coming from a strange circular portal, enough to make out the guild captain's face and other bodies lying motionless. I couldn't stop shaking, it must be a bad dream, right? A hyper realistic, bad dream that would disappear when I woke up.
"Don't waste time. Throw him in the magic portal." A long black-haired man, sitting in the dark, ordered. I kept trying to hold on to myself, but I couldn't escape, not that it would have made a difference.

I was forced to play hero in Irus, the world I was reborn to, not because I was capable of defeating the Demon King, but because I was the opposite: weak and broken, someone who would break the balance in Irus.
So that evil mages far stronger than the Demon King could take over, just as they defeated the strongest mage in my previous life in Arcus.
Now I have dedicated my life to becoming strong, stronger than the Demon King and stronger than the evil people who took over my first born world.
Read how I get my revenge on people who are far superior to me.
