Phoebus leaped back, but not before the creeping darkness reached his legs, causing them to tremble and weaken. "You've grown weaker, old friend," Hardy taunted, his voice echoing with dark mirth. "And you have grown more cruel," Phoebus retorted, summoning his strength to counterattack. He thrust his spear skyward, and a column of pure light descended from the heavens, engulfing Hardy. The light seared through the shadows, burning away the darkness. The force of their attacks was not limited to their immediate surroundings. Waves of destruction radiated outward, leveling forests, evaporating lakes, and turning mountains into rubble. The very air grew thin, unable to sustain life in the face of such overwhelming power.
