Arriving in a new world where the steam industry was booming, he inherited a three-story apartment on the capital's royal square, took in someone else's cat, and listened to the whispers at his ear, ready to witness this mysterious and bizarre era. The epic of the Sixth Era was about to commence, and behind the curtain, The Chosen One was destined to step into legend. Old Gods, Relics, steam, witches, detectives, ancient secrets, the Era's brilliance... "Would you like to play a round of Roder Cards?" Time engraved the hours, as Silvermoon illuminated the shadows. I compose your legend, you whisper your verses to me.

For a long time, Malin always felt that Fate had been quite generous to him. Although he had to face that life-threatening job every day, as long as he had the lovely Leopard Girl cooking delicious food for him daily, and as long as there was meat to eat and cats to stroke, life wasn't too unbearable. Working a bit harder and facing some difficulties on the job weren't really an issue for a man. Moreover, being able to live two lives meant one shouldn't have too high demands, right, Mr. Different-Kind? Having said that, and without waiting for an answer, the young man snapped his fingers, and the white flame on his fingertip lit the tobacco in his other hand, then he flicked it towards the non-human entity on the stake. Welcome to Abield, to witness the last splendor of the steampunk era. And the madness.

Some random stories I come up with to keep my boredom away. Contains original novels and fanfics as well. They may become a novel I'll write if I like them enough or if there is a sudden rush of inspiration that takes over me. If you like one of them comment on it and I may consider writing more about it one day, I am highly sleep deprived so I guess I will someday if i do not commit suicide first.

Earth suffered apocalypse. All electronics over the world were destroyed. War and famine ravaged the lands. When humanity tried to rebuild, they discovered that most technology no longer worked. The laws that governed the world had changed! Steam technology rose in popularity after the apocalypse. Humanity entered a new golden age. Then, the seven nightmares attacked. Espers with strange powers appeared. Mutants took over most of the world. This was the beginning of the Mana Apocalypse! My name is Edward Tesla and I was born during the Mana Apocalypse. This is my story about trying to protect everything I care about in this living hell. My inventions will defeat the nightmares and save the world! Steam rifles, steam tanks, and steam mechs. My inventions will surpass them all! Extra Note from the author: Some of the early chapters are a bit rough and need rewritten. Most of the long-term fans come from Chapter 21 and up. I guarantee the story continues to improve from there as you continue reading. Political factions, wars, steam tech, mana mysteries, and more. Though the story starts in America, it also visits China, Europe, Africa, and other areas of the world later on. -------------------------------------------------- Note from author: This novel was the winner of the Steampunk writing contest. Time, Tarzan, & Terrible Ideas is a sci-fi comedy action-adventure mystery thriller that begins with a terrible... but groundbreaking... mistake. Dr. Milo Finch, a brilliant, anxious young scientist with more intelligence than common sense, successfully invents a time machine. During what is supposed to be a short, observational test run, Milo is violently thrown into the distant past and crash-lands in the heart of an untouched jungle. There, Milo makes an impossible discovery: he has landed in the era... and the world... of Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle. Far from a myth, Tarzan is intelligent, perceptive, and deeply connected to the natural world. Milo’s arrival immediately disrupts the balance of the jungle. His futuristic technology destabilizes time itself, attracting armed hunters and anachronistic forces that should not exist in this era. As Milo struggles to reconcile scientific logic with the terrifying reality that he may have broken history, Tarzan recognizes the danger Milo represents... and the necessity of his survival. The unlikely duo forms an uneasy alliance: Milo brings chaotic future knowledge, comic book references, and reckless innovation; Tarzan brings unmatched physical skill, strategic instincts, and the jungle itself as a weapon. Together, they uncover a growing mystery: someone else has learned to exploit time travel, using the past as a battlefield and resource. What begins as a survival story quickly escalates into a hidden time war, with Tarzan’s jungle as ground zero. As paradoxes multiply and reality begins to fracture, Milo must find a way to repair time before it corrects itself violently... by erasing everything in its path. Blending sharp comedy, high-energy action, and escalating thriller elements, Time, Tarzan, & Terrible Ideas reimagines a classic legend through the lens of modern sci-fi, exploring destiny, responsibility, and the consequences of asking “what if” one time too many.

Wasters. The word spreads like wildfire across the frontier—whispered in saloons, cursed in cathedrals. Born of rogue science and stitched metal, they’re outlaws in the eyes of the Church and monsters in the eyes of the world. Levi Wilson didn’t choose this life. Once a streetwise mercenary, he was captured, experimented on, and turned into something he doesn’t understand. Augmented with prototype Vaporguard tech and left with scars he can’t outrun, Levi escapes into a land already teetering on the edge—where the Church tightens its grip, bounty hunters chase Wasters for coin, and the Old World’s empire watches the New with hungry eyes. Now hunted and alone, Levi must learn to survive—not just the bounty hunters and Inquisition on his trail, but the growing power inside him. What begins as a fight to stay alive will drag him into something far greater: a war for the soul of the frontier, and maybe the world beyond it. **WHAT TO EXPECT** • Guns are outlawed—blades, fists, and augments rule the frontier • Alternate timeline where the Church controls global tech and power • Steam-powered war machines and brutal Inquisitors • Grounded, gritty combat with realistic consequences • Deep worldbuilding with political, cultural, and religious conflict • Third-person limited POV with strong character focus • No chosen ones, no prophecy—just survival • Slow-burn mystery and high-stakes tension • No harem • Earthsong magic with real costs, not flashy spells • Bounty hunters, Templar Knights, orphans, war criminals, and broken survivors
