Dinosaurs that were similar in size to it were Altaspinosaurus, Charcosaurus, Archaedontosaurus, Jinshajiang Dragon, Charonsaurus, Edmontosaurus, and so on. The Southern Gigantic Dragon Tribe consisted of four species, namely, the Quatzhou Dragon, the Southern Gigantic Dragon, the Maplosaurus, and the Mirasiosaurus. They all lived in Argentina, South America. According to the fossil specimen, the existing specimen, MUCPV-CH1, was stored in the Carmen Fenas Municipal Museum in Neuquen, Argentina. Although the number of fossils was extremely rare, and there were no young or young fossils found, the scientific community estimated that the average weight of the species was 8.2 tons based on the fact that the southern Gigantic Tyrannosaurus was an old and fat individual.
