To have nothing to do meant to have nothing to do, that is, to have free time and nothing to do. For example," He always plants flowers and grasses to amuse himself when he has nothing to do " was a good example of this state. In English, it could be expressed as " be free and at leisure " or " be occupied and have nothing to do ". It was feasible to install a half-frame lens in a full-frame micro camera. The following situations would occur: 1. ** Picture effects ** - If the APS-C frame mode was not turned on, there would be black circles in the four corners of the camera, and the dark corners would be more serious. For example, this was the case when the camera lens of the Sima 23 1.4 was not cropped on the SonyA7R3. Although shrinking the aperture (such as the SIGMA231.4 under F16 aperture) could significantly reduce the dark corners, the black circles still existed. - If APS-C frame mode was turned on, the dark corners and black circles would disappear. However, after this mode was turned on, the resolution would be reduced. For example, the A7R3 had 17.8 million resolution when it was turned on. Generally speaking, the full-frame body with APS-C trimming could be roughly calculated by dividing the original resolution by 2.25 to 2.4. - In terms of equivalent focal length, after turning on the APS-C frame mode, the half-frame lens would have an equivalent focal length change. For example, when the SIGMA231.4 lens was turned on, it was equivalent to 35mm. The blurring effect under this equivalent focal length was similar to that of the full-frame F2. 2. ** In terms of application scenarios ** - ** Video shooting **: Currently, many cameras have a 1.5X crop when shooting 4K 60P videos (which happens to be the APS-C format), such as the SonyA7M4, A7C2, Nikon Z62, ZF, Pantheon S5, S52, S1H, etc. Some cameras, such as the 1.5X cropped 4K 30P of the SonyA7R5, were over-selected (the un-cropped 4K 30P was not over-selected), and the 1.5X cropped 4K 60P of the Canon EosR5 was also over-selected. In these situations, it was more appropriate to use a half-frame lens to shoot the video directly. For example, it was very common to use a Sima 18 - 502.8 paired with a SonyA7M4 or a PanasonicS52 to shoot videos. - ** In terms of the characteristics of the lens itself **: Half-frame lenses may be more affordable, lighter, and smaller. This is attractive to users who pursue cost-performance ratio, need to hold their hands for a long time to shoot (such as shooting videos with a stabiliser to reduce the burden), or need a specific focal length. Read more exciting novels for free
