This is a documentation of my mental clarity. I'm a black Author facing Racism and people trying to stop me from writing my book and trying to make me incapacitated. So here are my statements. Today is November 19th and I can read and write. I can walk and talk. I am thinking clearly. I am not slurring my speech and I am not fainting. There are stories that remain unfinished because their authors died. There are stories that remain unfinished because their authors disappeared. And then there is The Draft. Recovered from an unidentified storage device found inside an abandoned apartment scheduled for demolition, The Draft is an unfinished manuscript documenting the investigation of an unnamed documentary filmmaker who set out to uncover the truth behind an impossible urban legend: a road that does not exist, except when it decides to. What begins as a simple documentary project soon descends into something far more disturbing. The documentarian discovers photographs of himself taken decades before he was born. He receives recordings of his own voice warning him not to continue. Entire buildings appear and disappear overnight. Villagers recognize him despite never having met him. And hidden behind the mystery of the road lies something far older and far more terrifying than ghosts, curses, or monsters. A manuscript. A manuscript titled The Draft. As the investigation progresses, the recovered documents become increasingly fragmented. Chapters contradict one another. Events rewrite themselves. Missing pages reappear. Multiple versions of the same person begin to emerge. And the documentarian slowly uncovers a horrifying possibility: He may not be the first person to write this story. He may not even be the original author. Spanning more than one hundred unfinished chapters, recovered recordings, corrupted transcripts, missing files, contradictory testimonies, and impossible documents, The Draft is a horror story about stories themselves—about memory, identity, authorship, and the terrifying question of what exists before the first sentence is ever written. Because some stories are never abandoned. Some stories remember. And once a story remembers you, it never stops rewriting. --- Archive Warning The following manuscript remains incomplete. The identity of its author has never been confirmed. Attempts to reconstruct the missing chapters have repeatedly failed. Several investigators involved in the recovery of this document reported recurring dreams involving a road covered in fog, a room filled with unfinished manuscripts, and a voice asking the same question: «"Which draft are you?"» No explanation has ever been recorded.
