Knight in the Shinning Armour

Mostly all women idealize a chivalrous man as her Prince charming to take care and take her along for life and to strongly believe that everything will fall in place once she meets Mr Right. We want a man to give everything up for us,even if it means his life, to keep us safe and make us happy. Cinderella Syndrome is a psychological state where women are unconsciously driven to be dependent on a dominant figure i.e preferably male.It leads to a thinking process where women believe that they are ‘damsels in distress’ in need of rescuing from a male suitor. The story of Cindrella, Mills and Boons,Hindi films to fantasize upon hopes and expectations that only when they find their prince charming all their dreams will come true.A strong feeling of being dependant emotionally, financially or in another aspect also to fear taking responsibilities and to act upon it and to seek someone whom one can depend upon. Cindrella Syndrome was described by Cowlet Dowling is a subconscious desire to be taken care and more likely of dependency on others. The contributing major factor to cause is it's upbringing which is typically observed in Indian families where the women is more sacrificial, tolerant, needs physical safety, security and dependency on others. Cowlet Dowling explained the Story of Cindrella stating that she had an abusive step mother and sisters but was ultimately rescued by her Prince Charming who takes her away. Cindrella syndrome are seen in women who feel safe being home bound where the external affairs are taken care by the man. According to Dowling, psychological effects of Cinderella Complex are lack of self esteem, living in fantasy ,having unrealistic state, lack of confidence, anxiety ,dependance, extremely overprotective parenthood, inability to function in the work place. An example has been stated as per Dowling about a women who had been living independently for years had settled to live with a man of her choice.Later after marriage life changed the women had to lean upon man for decisions and life had just got stalled. She couldn't make any decisions of her own,was homebound and could meet her friends once in six months period and also had a deadline for everything. This lead the women into depression and on psychiatric treatment. All women and men are different and have a different psychology upbringing, values thought process about marriage and their life partner. In the bygone era the women were more dependant upon her man and the lady was homebound,to take care of home and to rear children. But in today's era the women are at higher positions in career and eachthing and have also proved to be better in multi tasking their work and house affairs.Women have become independent financially and have also become confident and courageous more than men in their decisions. There are even such men who equally contribute with their life partners and they push their women to achieve more in their career. Sometimes women also feel good being complete housewife and taking care of household affairs but when there is interception in their life in each thing it may get bothersome for some but some women also have immense toleration power to tackle and to live with it for life being dominated by their husband. Mostly a women's life from childhood is modelled in such way that they are taught to be dependant upon man and to be frightful when they don't have one.Due to such life events they are always in the process to find the best life partner and some have the thought process such that without partner life could be miserable. We are always leading life in the fairtytale of having Prince charming of our dreams who is the best in all aspects but when the time comes in one has to face the reality and to deal with it.Everyone experiences the real world, explore & strive towards freedom and in each step there is learning process.

From now on, this story will only be available for Royal Road. To view the story, remember to look for the same name on Royal Road. Nascia a SHIPSH.

The back story of 'Shinning' by Stanley Kubrick
The Shining has a complex back story. Stanley Kubrick brought Stephen King's novel to the screen but made many changes. One key aspect is the isolation of the Overlook Hotel. Kubrick used it to create a sense of psychological unease. The characters' deteriorating mental states were also emphasized more in the film. For example, Jack Nicholson's performance as Jack Torrance shows a man slowly being consumed by the hotel's evil forces.
