Fuxi Pangu

In China myths and legends, it was Pangu who created the world. There was no such thing as Fuxi. The legend of Pangu's creation of the world described how the chaos of the universe was like an egg at the beginning. Pangu grew up in it, and when he woke up, he split the chaos with his axe. Light and clear things rose to the sky, and heavy and turbid things sank to the ground. Then, Pangu stood tall and his body grew with the separation of heaven and earth. Finally, he collapsed and died of exhaustion. All parts of his body turned into all things in the world.

This statement was wrong. There were many theories about Pangu's father. The common ones were that Pangu was born from the Chaos, that his father was Jiang Gu, that his parents were Taixu and Taihao, or that his parents were Honored Lord of the Origin and Goddess Nvywa. In some legends, after Pangu died, his essence, qi, and spirit split into three great gods, Fuxi, Shennong, and Nuwa. Pangu was much earlier than Fuxi. Pangu was born at the beginning of the chaos, about 50,000 years ago.
