The Origin of Anhua County
In the fifth year of Xining of the Northern Song Dynasty (1072), the imperial court sent Zhang Dun to open Meishan and set up a county. The next year (1073), it was named Anhua, which meant "returning to Ande." Before this, the name Anhua had already appeared. As early as the fourth year of Jingde of Song Zhenzong (1007), there was the name of Anhua Lang General.
