A creature larger than a blue whale
In the history of life on Earth, there were some creatures that were even larger than the blue whale. The New Zealand Ichthyosaur (Ichthyosaur Hectori) lived in the Triassinian period more than 200 million years ago. According to some fossils, its body length was more than 40 meters. Because its body was thicker than the blue whale, paleomeologists speculated that its weight might be more than 300 tons. A New Zealand Ichthyosaur with fossils was estimated to weigh 311.5 tons, but due to the lack of fossil data, its true body size was still unsolved. There was also the Fragile Diplocoella (Diplocoella), which was thought to be more than 70 meters long and weighed 150 - 220 tons. However, due to the small number of fossils excavated, there was controversy about its body size and weight, and many biologists expressed doubts. In addition, from a plant's point of view, the honey mushroom was said to be forty times heavier than the blue whale. However, it grew underground and occupied more than fifteen thousand acres of land, so it was not very noticeable. Read more exciting novels for free
What kind of creature is on the whale?
Whale lice and whale barnacles were the most common parasites on whales. Whale lice were a type of mollusk arthropod that was between 8 - 20 millimeters long and flat and light gray in color. They were parasites that attached themselves to whales. They relied on the ends of their hook-shaped limbs to firmly grasp special positions on whales, such as the bumps near the eyes, the abdominal folds of baleen whales, the pores of humpback whales, or the barnacles. Although whale lice didn't eat whale flesh, they would hurt the skin and cause itchiness. Barnacles were crustaceans with shells. They belonged to the barnacles family of the Crustacea of the Arachnopods. Whale barnacles were parasitic on the surface of whales. Their larvae first grabbed the whale's skin with their antennae, then stuck it to the whale's skin with suction cups. Then, they secreted mucus to enhance their ability to adhere. Finally, they pierced part of their body into the whale's skin and grew a wall to lock onto the tissues under the whale's skin. Even if the whale swam and the skin tissues fell off and replaced regularly, it was difficult to get rid of them. Read more exciting novels for free
