Russian classic old song, Birch Forest
"Birch Forest" was a classic Russian song. The song was about the poignant love story of a soldier during the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War. The song depicted such a scene: a quiet village with white snow, pigeons flying under the hazy sky, and the names of two people in love carved on the birch trees. They vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives. After the war broke out, the young man picked up his gun and rushed to the border. He told his sweetheart not to worry and wait for him to come back. However, the soldier eventually died on the battlefield, and his lover waited under the white birch forest for a lifetime. From the music itself, the melody of the song was beautiful and full of sadness. The lyrics were such as " Why are the Russian birch forests so noisy? Why do they understand everything with the white trunks?" Through the questions about the birch forest, it set off a sad and melancholic atmosphere, expressing the steadiness of love and the tragic color brought by war.
