Can a retired soldier change his major after being promoted to a university?
In principle, retired soldiers who met the exemption requirements should apply for an undergraduate major that roughly corresponded to the higher (specialist) major they were studying. However, the specific professional requirements depended on the corresponding college policy requirements. Many provinces required undergraduate enrollment majors with the same or similar majors, but there were also cases where cross-registration was allowed. Ordinary college students were not allowed to change their majors at will after being admitted. Different provinces had different policies for the promotion. It was recommended that the candidates should follow the policies of the provinces they wanted to apply for. They could go to the official website of the provincial Education Examination Institute to inquire about the latest policies for the promotion. Read more exciting novels for free

Yes, for example, the Henan Professional Upgrade Network (Zhengzhou Department) had a WEB front-end technical engineer position in the 2022 recruitment notice, and it welcomed the internship and graduation of the college and junior college students. How many years does it take to be promoted from a soldier to a major general?
The time needed to grow from a soldier to a major general was affected by many factors. If one were to look at the ideal situation of a normal promotion, there were three main ways for a soldier to become an officer: to take the military academy examination, to be promoted to a soldier after graduating from a university, and to be guaranteed to enter school for outstanding soldiers. After becoming an officer, the officers in our country are divided into three grades and ten levels. Under normal circumstances, it takes three to four years for each level to be promoted. Joining the army at 18, entering the military school at 19, and graduating from the military school at 23. Starting from the rank of second lieutenant, it would take at least 28 years to advance from second lieutenant to major general. According to the position, it would take at least 30 years to advance from platoon leader to the main army. This was under the circumstances that the entire military career was very smooth. To become a major general, one had to be at least 53 years old. However, there were also special circumstances. For example, some people joined the army at the age of 30 and were promoted to major general in just 10 years. There were also four people who were promoted to major general in 1961 and 1964 who were promoted from colonel to major general in just a few years. If there were no special contributions or opportunities, it would take at least 40 years or more to be promoted to major general. The novel " The General's Promotion " is equally exciting. Can a soldier be promoted to a general?
It was possible to be promoted from a soldier to a general, but it was an extremely difficult and long process. First of all, there were four ranks in the military rank system: sergeant, lieutenant, colonel, and general. If you join the army as a conscript, your service period is about two years. After the period is over, you may retire. If the army needs it and you are willing, you can transfer to volunteer to continue your service. After that, you may be promoted gradually. Most of the sergeants would be promoted to lieutenants normally. This was the leap from a soldier to an officer, and promotion required experience and meritorious service. Lieutenants were divided into three ranks: second lieutenant, first lieutenant, and captain. They belonged to the grassroots level. It usually took a fixed amount of time to be promoted from a lieutenant to a senior colonel. Usually, one would only be promoted a little faster if they had military merits. If they did not have military merits, it would take longer. The promotion from the rank of field officer to general officer was even stricter. In addition to the requirements of the length of service in the army, one also had to see the special contribution of the field officer rank. Only with military merit could one be promoted faster. Moreover, one had to serve as a deputy military officer for more than four years. However, this was only the foundation. It was mainly based on the contribution in the army and the actual situation (such as whether there was a vacancy for the position of major general, etc.). In addition, to become a general, one needed to have excellent qualities in many aspects. In terms of military accomplishment, one must study military theory and master various military skills; in terms of political belief, one must maintain firm loyalty to the country, the party, and the people; in terms of leadership, one must have the ability to build a team, make decisions, and motivate people; in terms of actual combat experience or working experience, one must have actual combat experience. In terms of continuous learning and self-improvement, one had to constantly learn military science and technology knowledge, new combat concepts, and improve their cultural quality. Is it difficult for a soldier to be promoted to an officer
In the army, it was not easy for a soldier to be promoted to an officer. Soldiers and officers had different roles and had different promotion systems. Strictly speaking, the promotion paths of the two were independent. However, a soldier could be promoted to an officer through some methods, but this was a change of status and not a traditional "promotion." This transformation required soldiers to possess many qualities and abilities, such as excellent leadership, strategic vision, organizational coordination, communication skills, and so on. It also required a high sense of responsibility and mission. For example, in the process of carrying out a mission, one must be able to quickly adapt to the environment, effectively complete the mission, lead the team to cooperate and improve efficiency and combat effectiveness. At the same time, one must pay attention to using their spare time to learn military theory, strategy, tactics, and other knowledge to improve their military accomplishments. Moreover, the selection criteria for changing from a soldier to an officer were also stricter. For example, soldiers need to meet the age requirement for the examination (As of January 1, 2025, no more than 22 years old. Before enlisting, they were students or graduates of ordinary colleges and universities, or belonged to ethnic minorities, and they were relaxed by one year), education (With an ordinary high school graduate or above or equivalent educational level), military service period (as of June 30, 2025, the service time is one year, not more than three years, if re-enlisted, the total service time is not more than three years) and other conditions. They must also be unmarried. During the period of active service, the annual assessment results of the past years must be competent or above, the annual military training results of the past years must be good or above, and they must participate in the physical examination organized by the military and pass the conclusion. There were also strict requirements for age, education, and service period for university graduates and outstanding soldiers. The novel "The General's Promotion" is equally exciting. University teachers could be promoted. In recent years, with the increasing demand for compound talents who understood teaching, scientific research, and management, many universities began to pay attention to selecting and cultivating management personnel from talents with a " teaching background." Judging from the announcements of the management officials issued by various universities, the phenomenon of "excellent teachers will be officials" was not uncommon in universities. A large number of excellent full-time teachers had been promoted to the level of management officials. Reborn to marry a retired soldier
I recommend " The Seventy Rules of Rebirth " by Pomelo on the Winter Solstice. The female protagonist was reborn and married to a childhood sweetheart soldier. Overall, it was not bad. The first half was super exciting, but the second half was a little worse. It was not too much for the female lead to have a cheat, the male lead was great, and the second male lead was also likable. It was just that there were a lot of top-notch products. Some of the plots were similar to " Rebirth and Return to the Country," but they were not as pretentious. The Sweet Little Wife of Rebirth was written by the Emperor of Snow. The story of her rebirth back to her university days was the first novel that many people had read. After watching it three times, they would know how wonderful it was. 'Reborn Just to Flirt With You', written by Yu Hanxi. Jian Zhu's rebirth changed the lives of her family and friends, and she accidentally became a military wife. " Return of the Reborn Cannon Fodder ", a work by Ukiyo Rakuwa. The rebirth of the cold moon changed fate. It was a cool novel. The female protagonist was not easy, but she tried her best to live a wonderful life. Return to Twenty Years Ago, by Wu Xin. The female protagonist was reborn to protect her children. The first part of the story described human nature as ugly, and the ending was a little sloppy, but overall, it was not bad. Her son was very smart, and the process of the female protagonist slowly becoming stronger was very attractive. Read more exciting novels for free
