The fox demon matchmaker is so ugly. What's going on?

Answer 1

There were several possible reasons why Little Fox Matchmaker was considered "ugly":

** 1. Actor-related questions **
1. ** Casting and CP feeling **
- The combination of Yang Mi and Gong Jun lacked the feeling of a CP. In ancient Xianxia dramas, the feeling of the male and female leads being a couple was crucial. However, when they were in the same frame, it didn't feel like they matched. It was as if there was a difference in seniority, which affected the audience's sense of the relationship between the characters.
2. ** In terms of acting **
- There was a problem with Yang Mi's acting. When she played the role of Tushan Red, she wanted to appear cold and aloof, but most of the time, she used a deadpan approach. In many scenes, she looked listless and did not have the aura that a character should have. Moreover, her old habit of pouting her lips when she spoke was still there.
- Although Gong Jun had a handsome appearance, he was easily disillusioned when he opened his mouth. His mouth shape and expression management were lacking. If he used a little force, it would seem like he was using too much force. His eyes were sometimes confusing and greasy. When they were acting in the same frame, one was expressionless, and the other's facial features were flying. The two extreme acting styles could not well express the emotional exchange needed for the plot.

** 2. Storyline related questions **
1. ** Magic modification of the original work **
- The scriptwriter added too many of his own ideas and left the original work. Many viewers felt that it seemed like a different story. Although it might have been to enrich the plot, the change in the taste of the story made it difficult for the fans of the original novel to accept it. They could not find the original impression of the original novel.

** 3. Image presentation related issues **
1. ** Hazy Image Quality **
- There were problems with the picture. For example, the blurry picture quality made the background of the story look more illusory, and the facial features of the characters could not be seen clearly. Moreover, the skin was overly worn, the beauty was serious, and there was a low-level sharpening effect. All of these affected the audience's viewing experience.

However, this drama also had its advantages. From the way of serving the Tao to the visual effects, it was all commendable. In terms of clothing, whether it was the main character or the supporting characters, not only did their clothing not have the common funeral style, but the colors and styles were also suitable for the character settings. The makeup of the characters varied in different scenes. In terms of visual effects, there was the scene of the eastern moon setting off fireworks for the red Mud Mountain. The special effects were gorgeous, romantic, and realistic. Many scenes were dreamlike and filled with the atmosphere. However, these advantages might not be enough to make up for the above-mentioned problems, causing some viewers to feel that it was ugly.
