Peking University PhD Program Tuition
According to the official website of Peking University's Guanghua School of Management, the PhD program at Peking University required four years of tuition fees. The first was the first year of postgraduate studies, which required 30,000 yuan per year, and the second to fourth years were the PhD students, which required 50,000 yuan per year. For this 180,000 yuan tuition fee, Peking University's Guanghua School of Management offered two payment methods: one was a one-time payment, which required all tuition fees to be paid in one lump sum at the time of enrollment; the other was an installments payment, which was divided into two payments per academic year, requiring an annual payment of 90,000 yuan. Colleges and Universities Plan to Discard Masters and PhD Students
Recently, many universities were planning to expel their masters and PhD students, including 985 University. For example, the School of Public Health of Shandong University plans to withdraw one foreign master's degree and two foreign doctors who have not registered within the time limit stipulated by the school, have not fulfilled the deferment of registration and have no legitimate reasons; The School of International Education of Nankai University will carry out the student registration clearance work for the international graduate students who have reached the maximum number of years of study stipulated by the school and have not reached the graduation conditions or have not returned to school after the suspension period; The School of Management and the School of Computer Science and Technology of the University of Science and Technology announced the withdrawal of graduate students who had exceeded the maximum number of years of study. In addition, the graduate school of WuHan University also planned to withdraw three graduate students because it was difficult to contact the students themselves for a long time. The main reason why many universities dismissed graduate students was that they did not complete the graduation requirements within the maximum number of years of study stipulated by the school. Generally speaking, full-time academic graduate students graduated in three years, while some full-time professional graduate students graduated in two years. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, if a student did not complete their studies within the school's stipulated period of study, the school could expel them. The postgraduate student status was generally three to six years, and different universities also had their own regulations. For example, the longest period of study for a PhD student at the University of Ning Bo was eight years, the longest period of study for a full-time graduate student was five years, and the longest period of study for a part-time graduate student was six years. The longest period of study for a master's student at Southeast University was no more than four years, a PhD student was no more than six years, and a direct PhD student was no more than seven years. The increasingly strict graduation requirements and the urgent need to cultivate higher-quality graduate students were the internal reasons for the university to dismiss graduate students. This also indicated that the graduate student training had changed from "strict entry and leniency" to "strict entry and strict exit".
