Junshan was a small island located in Dongting Lake in Yueyang City, China. It was called Dongting Mountain, Xiangshan, and Youyuan Mountain in ancient times. The island had 72 peaks of various sizes, with a total area of 0.96 square kilometers. Jun Mountain was opposite to the famous Yue Yang Tower and was known as the Court of Cave Dwelling. According to legend, there were hundreds of golden halls at the foot of Junshan Mountain. Jade maidens lived in them, and the sound of gold, stone, silk and bamboo could be heard throughout the four seasons. The name Junshan originated from Emperor Shun's two concubines, Ehuang and Nuying. Later generations renamed it Junshan. Junshan was now a national key scenic spot and a national AAAAA-level tourist area. There were many places of interest on the island, the most famous of which were the Xiang Concubine Temple and the Second Concubine Tomb, which were related to ancient myths and legends.
