Liu Wenwu, the squad leader of the fifth squad, achieved the best result in the division with a Mosinaga rifle with a range of only 600 meters without a scope. He was called the "Death God of China" by the American newspapers. The United Nations sent "America's number one sniper" John to capture Liu Wenwu alive, and John used the captured scout with important intelligence as bait to carry out the trap plan. The company commander ordered the fifth class to save Liang Liang. Before Class Five set off, the high school student Dayong was asked to stay for an interview, but he and Liang Liang were classmates, so he asked to meet up. There were many things to watch in the movie. The first was the father-daughter co-directing. Zhang Yimou was working with his daughter, Zhang Mo, who had rich experience in the film industry. Secondly, the background of the story was based on real people. The prototype of the protagonist Zhang Dagong was Zhang Taofang, a second-class sniper hero and a special hero of the China People's volunteers. Moreover, Zhang Yimou, Zhang Yi, and Liu Haocun worked together three times. Zhang Yi played the role in the film, and Liu Haocun played the female role in the film. In addition, the film also had many merits on the artistic level. Zhang Yimou did not give the soldiers a golden finger, which truly presented the situation of the China army's poor equipment and shortage of materials at that time. The soldiers of the fifth squad were mostly in their teens or twenties, which highly restored the image of the soldiers who went to the war at that time. Watching " Hunting Poison " wasn't enough.
