(Translated novel) What's the difference between an original and a souvenir edition?
There may be some differences between the original and the memorial edition of a book. The specific differences may vary according to the type of book, the time of publication, the publishing house, and other factors. Generally speaking, legitimate books were published by authorized publishing houses or authors, printed by authorized printing houses, and sold through legal sales channels. Genuine books usually had the signature of the author or the publishing house, a copyright certificate, and a power of attorney to prove that the book was legally authorized. Commemorative books were published for specific events or people, usually to celebrate or commemorate a special day or person. These books may include rewritings, translation, illustrations, or cover designs related to the event or character. Commemorative books might not have copyright certificates like genuine books, but they would usually have information such as the date or person printed on the cover of the book. There might be differences in the content, printing quality, packaging, etc. between the original and the memorial edition. Genuine books were usually more complete, of higher quality, and had professional editing and proofreading. Commemorative books might focus more on the meaning and design of the book than on the content and quality. In short, there may be some differences between the original and the souvenir edition. When purchasing books, readers should carefully compare and choose books that meet their needs.
