Help me find a novel according to the plot

He remembered very clearly that the female lead was in junior high school.(I don't know if she was in junior high or high school) Every time she went to school, she would take a big ship. She and a few of her best friends once occupied a seat and embarrassed a businessman. Her best friend deliberately asked the businessman if he wanted to sit. There was an empty seat beside him. The businessman looked at a group of little girls, and one of them was even eating children's food. It was inappropriate for a mature person like him to sit in the middle.
The location seemed to be Seattle, or perhaps Missy, but he wasn't sure. Anyway, there was a big river between his home and school. It took about half an hour each time. Because of this, he had lunch at school, went to school in the morning, and came back in the evening.
This was probably the plot, but he couldn't remember which novel it was. Or an article. I don't know if it's from the readers or the novels.
