Please recommend a classic wuxia mystery novel.

I read it a long time ago, but unfortunately, it was only the first volume. It was a classic. I don't remember the title of the book, but I can roughly remember that there was a young chivalrous man who came to a small town in order to destroy a big gang that had the ambition to unify the Jianghu. He then sneaked into the home of a rich man in the small town. The rich man had some power and invited more than ten Jianghu figures. Then, he used the power of the rich man to slowly fight against the big gang. He remembered a scene where the big gang sent an old master disguised as a doctor to inquire about the rich man's house. Then, the young chivalrous man saw through the flaws in a very subtle place and killed him. His reasoning ability scared the other spy into revealing a flaw. I don't know if that awesome person knows the title and author of this book. I'm so grateful. I read it before 1995. I've been looking for it
