The Idiot was a long novel written by Poland Sabkowski. It told the story of a young man named Miswahic who turned from an ordinary person into an idiot. Miswahic had been very smart since he was a child, but he had lost all his ability to think in an accident. His family sent him to a special school to take care of him, but the students there were all mentally retarded or disabled. Miswahic soon realized that he was very different from the other students, but he also began to gradually integrate into the group and found that he had special abilities. In the special school, Miswahic made many friends, including a girl named Magnitka. Magnitsky was a smart and caring person. She helped Miswahic overcome many difficulties and let him regain his ability to think. As time went by, the relationship between Miswaść and Magnitsky became deeper and deeper, but their identity and social status were destined to be unable to be together. Through Miswahic's experience, the novel explored the nature of human beings, interpersonal relationships, beliefs, and morality. At the same time, it also showed concern and support for the disabled and vulnerable groups.
