Was everything in the novel true?
As a fan of online literature, my answer can only be based on my knowledge of online literature. However, because the creation of literary works was often based on the author's imagination and cultural background, it was difficult to determine whether the plot and characters in it existed or happened in real life. Some novels may describe people and events in the real world, while others may make up some plots. Therefore, if you are reading a novel, it is recommended not to believe too much in the plot and characters because they may only be the embodiment of the author's imagination and creative inspiration. Of course, some novels are fictional, but they are usually designed to create a unique story world or worldview.
