Ba Jin. Mao Dun's Three Steps of Writing a Long Story
Ba Jin and Mao Dun's long novel trilogy referred to War and Peace, Spring Silkworm, and White Light. War and Peace was one of Ba Jin's masterpieces. It described the contradictions and struggles of the social classes in Petersburg during the Russian Revolution in the early 19th century and the growth of the protagonist, Leo Tolstoy. "Spring Silkworm" described the life and love experience of Li Qingzhao, a Chinese poet. in the early 20th century, expressing the theme of women's liberation and self-liberation. White Light described the disparity between the rich and the poor in Chinese society in the early 1920s, the rise of the revolutionary movement, and the personal experience and growth of the protagonist, White Light. These three novels were all representative works of Ba Jin and were widely regarded as classics of modern Chinese literature.
