Ye Shengtao (1894 - 1980), formerly known as Ye Shengtao, was a famous modern Chinese writer, ideologist, politician, and social actician. He was the most influential person in the history of Chinese literature in the 20th century and was hailed as the "Father of Modern Chinese Fictions". Ye Shengtao's representative works included novels, essays, plays, essays, and many other styles. His most famous works were Living and Contracted Labourers. His works, with his profound social insight and real characters, revealed the various ills and problems of Chinese society at that time, which aroused widespread social response and resonance. Ye Shengtao studied at Nanjing Central University and Hangzhou Normal University. After graduating, he worked at Shanghai Guangming Middle School and Shanghai Literature Magazine.
