Journey to the West was one of the Four Great Ancient Chinese Classics. The author was the Ming Dynasty novelist Wu Chengen. The novel tells the story of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Monk Sand, and Tang Sanzang (also known as the "Journey to the West") who went to India to retrieve Buddhist scriptures. Among them, Sun Wukong fought fiercely with the Bull Demon King and the Spider Demon. Zhu Bajie and the demons had all kinds of interesting competitions. Monk Sand and the White Dragon Horse took care of Tang Sanzang together in the Flowing Sand River. Tang Sanzang experienced many hardships and finally overcame many difficulties to retrieve the true scripture. Journey to the West became a classic in the history of Chinese literature with its unique narrative style, rich characters and profound thoughts, which had a profound influence on world literature.
