The Four Great Masterpieces referred to the Chinese classical novels, Dream of the Red Chamber, Journey to the West, Water Margins, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. 'Dream of the Red Chamber' narrated the love story of Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochai, and the rise and fall of the Jia family. Journey to the West tells the story of Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Monk Sand, who protected Tang Sanzang and experienced many magical adventures. Water Margins, on the other hand, told the story of 108 Liangshan heroes who gathered together to fight against the imperial court. There were many heroes in Liangshan who were indignant and fought against the ruling class. Romance of the Three Kingdoms described the political struggles and military wars between Shu Han, Wu, and Wei during the Three Kingdoms period. The story of Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang and others showed their wisdom, courage and loyalty.
