The fourth chapter described the experience of boarding in a noble family. Chapter 5 recounts the experience of playing in the forest with Yakovslav. Chapter 6 described his experience working in a factory. Chapter 7 is about learning to read and write under the guidance of a tutor. Chapter 8 described the help and influence of his relatives and friends. Chapter 9 described his experience in the revolution. Chapter 10 tells the story of returning to Kyiv to reunite with Yakovslav and start a new life. The last chapter of the novel described the worldview and values formed in his childhood, as well as his thoughts on human civilization and social issues.
