There was a scene in Lao She's novel Camel Xiangzi that depicted the famous Baliqiao Market in Beijing. The market was a prosperous business district with all kinds of goods and snacks, but it was also a place full of fireworks and human feelings. In this market, Lao She painted a vivid image of a businessman--Camel Xiangzi. In order to make money, he kept running around in this market and interacting with all kinds of people. His words were full of cunning and wit when he talked to other merchants, but when he talked to his own buyers, he was full of warmth and humanity. One of the scenes describing the conversation between Camel Xiangzi and the buyer left a deep impression on me. "He was eating buns while looking at you with a satisfied smile on his face. He told you he bought a new car because you recommended it. Tell him that although this car is a little expensive, it has good performance and can run fast. He said,'Do you know how much I like this car? It made me feel that I was no longer just a money-making machine but a person of flesh and blood.'" In this description, the scene of Camel Xiangzi talking to the buyer was full of humanity and life. Camel Xiangzi showed his humanity and warmth by eating and talking. The buyer, on the other hand, expressed his love for the car and his improvement in his living conditions through a satisfied smile and communication with Camel Xiangzi. This scene description showed Lao She's deep insight into human nature and made people feel the human touch and life in the market.
