Li Sao was the short form of the Chinese literary classic Li Sao, and it was one of the representative works of the Tang Dynasty poet Qu Yuan. The poem used Qu Yuan's personal emotional experience and his observation of social reality as the material to describe the image of a Chu person who was full of parting sorrow and pursuit of freedom and ideals, expressing his resistance to fate and pursuit of truth. Li Sao was regarded as a classic in the history of Chinese literature and was hailed as the "peak of poetry".
