Please recommend a novel with a cold protagonist.

I was born reading dark novels.
Now, he saw some people who risked their lives to save their brothers and friends.
I can't stand it.
Some protagonists put their own interests above all else.

6. Overindulgence in sympathy. Any random cat or dog on the roadside would throw a steamed bun at them, afraid that they would starve to death. People can't be killed.
