The Water Margins was the first classical novel in China and one of the Four Great Masterpieces. It was written in the Ming Dynasty and told the story of 108 righteous men who gathered in Liangshan to resist the rule of the imperial court. This novel has been passed down to this day and is deeply loved by the Chinese people.
